Parker Scarborough, HGI’s newest Industrial Process Safety Consultant, earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biomolecular and Chemical Engineering from Georgia Tech. After numerous years of working in environmental health and safety consulting, he was soon moved to the combustible dust side…where he found his true passion.
He mentioned, “I’m most excited to be working in a really good professional environment with teammates. Rather than working independently on projects, I now have an entire team to share resources, knowledge, and help when needed. Working in combustible dust is so rewarding because it’s safety, so you really feel like you’re helping people.” He also enjoys traveling and going on site visits and having the opportunity to experience different fields, environments, businesses, etc.
Georgia has always been his home state, and he currently lives in Brookhaven with his golden retriever, Buster! Parker loves baseball and football, and supports all the local sports teams, including the Braves, Falcons, and Georgia Tech. He and his friends go on annual ski trips, as well as deep sea diving trips! The last two years they went to Cabo, and got to make fresh sushi and sashimi with their catches.
