Meet Nic Johnsen – Our Newest Senior Fire Protection Engineer!
We’re excited to welcome Nic to the team as one of our newest Fire Protection Engineers! Based in Minneapolis, MN, Nic brings both technical expertise and a collaborative spirit. Nic’s journey into the fire protection world started close to home—his brother’s interest in sprinkler design sparked his curiosity and ultimately led him down this career path. That same sense of connection is what brought him to our company. “I already knew a few people here, and I just knew it was a great group of professionals,” Nic said. “Joining felt like a natural next step.”
At home, Nic and his wife are busy (and loving it!) with their twin daughters, Frances and June. With his minimal free time, Nic makes the most of the outdoors and the local scene. He’s an avid cyclist and road biker, and he rarely passes up an opportunity to hit a new trail or route. He’s also a fan of grilling, checking out local breweries, and catching live music whenever he can. When the opportunity arises, Nic and two of his brothers head to the Blue Ridge Parkway—an ongoing tradition filled with beautiful views, winding roads, and plenty of laughs. It’s those kinds of connections and shared experiences that inspire Nic both professionally and personally.
