Harrington Group, Inc. is excited to welcome Lori Carella, CPA, to our team! Lori may be new to the world of fire protection engineering, but she’s no stranger to numbers. As our Controller at HGI, she brings a wealth of accounting experience to the table. Lori holds a Bachelor of Business in Accounting from St. Bonaventure University in Olean, NY, and she’s a certified public accountant (CPA). Previously, she worked for an international Italian manufacturing company, and now she’s excited to dive into a new industry. She thrives on challenges and sees accounting as a puzzle where every piece fits together perfectly.
When asked about her interest in this industry, Lori explained, “I appreciate the professionalism and the caliber of people that work in this field. My father was a mechanical engineer and super smart, so I try to learn from my colleagues and contribute my own value and knowledge to the team.”
Although Lori grew up in a small town near Binghamton, New York, she currently resides in Suwanee, Georgia. Apart from her passion for numbers, she has a diverse range of hobbies including running, hiking, playing pickleball, playing the trumpet in multiple local bands, and spending time with her cat. Lori is the proud mother of two grown daughters: her eldest graduated from GA Tech and works at Chick-fil-A Corporate, while her youngest pursued a theater major at Kennesaw State University and now works at Disney. Her ideal way to kick off the day is with a workout or run, followed by a cup of coffee, and she likes to unwind in the evening with a glass of wine and some good music.
