We’re thrilled to welcome Angelo Capati to the Harrington Group team as our newest Fire Protection Consultant! Angelo comes to us with a strong background in fire protection, holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Fire Protection Engineering from the University of Maryland. With his Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification and experience in AutoCAD and life safety work, he is eager to apply his skills to innovative fire protection solutions.
Coming from a background where prescriptive code often dictates design choices, he’s looking forward to expanding his knowledge and problem-solving approach by working on performance-based design (PBD) projects. The opportunity to step away from rigid code requirements and explore customized solutions for unique challenges is something he’s truly passionate about.
Outside of work, Angelo has a variety of interests that keep him busy! He lives in White Plains, Maryland, with his two corgis, Astro and Apollo, and when he’s not spending time with his pups, you might find him giving back to the community. Nearly every week, he (and his family) volunteer with the Capital Area Food Bank, where he helps box and unbox packages and stock the pantry to ensure families in need have access to essential food supplies. Along with volunteering, Angelo is an avid Pokémon collector! Not only does he enjoy collecting, but he’s also a vendor at trade shows, where he shares his passion with fellow enthusiasts. His strategic mind, preparedness, and adaptability are reflected in his everyday life – whether he’s tracking down rare cards, helping others, or solving fire protection problems.
