DULUTH, GA — JUNE 21, 2004 — Fenwal Protection Systems invited CEO and Fire Protection Engineer, Jeff Harrington, to present two educational sessions at their 2004 Business College, held at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada on June 9 and 10, 2004.
During the general session, Mr. Harrington gave a presentation entitled “Quality is a Marketing Advantage”. Mr. Harrington presented opportunities for quality improvement based upon over 25 years of experience in the design, installation review, and testing of clean agent fire extinguishing systems. He explained how these quality improvements would increase business and enhance brand image for the distributor, the manufacturer, and the industry.
Mr. Harrington also conducted a workshop on the new 2004 edition of NFPA 2001, Standard on Clean Agent Fire Extinguishing Systems. The discussion was focused on the newest rules regarding safe human exposure to both types of clean agents: inert gases and halocarbon agents. Mr. Harrington also addressed ongoing efforts that could result in future changes to the standard, including a review of the cup burner test method and an assessment of the impact of pressure changes within protected enclosures during clean agent discharge.
