DULUTH, GA – MARCH 24, 2003 – James M. Rucci, P.E., Executive Vice President and Senior Fire Protection Engineer of Harrington Group, Inc., has been appointed Chairman of the Technical Committee on Carbon Dioxide by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
The Committee on Carbon Dioxide is responsible for writing NFPA 12, Standard on Carbon Dioxide Extinguishing Systems. This standard covers minimum requirements for carbon dioxide fire extinguishing systems for the use and guidance of those responsible for the purchase, design, installation, testing, inspection, approval, listing, operation or maintenance of such systems.
Harrington Group’s long-standing commitment to excellence in the field of fire protection engineering is furthered by Mr. Rucci’s acceptance of this position. The NFPA Committee will be instrumental in providing direction and guidance to the fire protection engineering profession well into the 21st century.
