Duluth, GA – May 14, 2008. Harrington Group, Inc. is pleased to announce they have become an American Institute of Architects (AIA) Continuing Education Registered Provider. Harrington Group will be providing continuing education programs to architectural firms regarding fire protection engineering issues. These programs will help to provide licensed architects with learning hours of continuing education that can be applied towards maintaining their licensure. Harrington Group’s first registered program is titled “Fire Engineered Performance-Based Design Solutions” and focuses on how fire protection engineers and performance-based design solutions can help architects to add value throughout each stage of the design process. The program provides an overview of fire protection engineering, the role of fire protection engineers, and the benefits and drawbacks of using performance-based design solutions.
Harrington Group’s clients include various architectural firms, who are in need of fire protection engineering consulting services for their design projects. The firm decided to become a continuing education provider in order to help build stronger relationships with architects and to provide them with experience-based education programs covering the challenges of delivering cost-effective and functional fire and life safety solutions in a variety of building occupancy categories.
