When Kirsten Neeley graduated from the Minnesota School of Business with an accounting degree, she had no idea where her career would go. She has since tried on many different hats, developing expertise in credit analysis, operations, and process improvement across numerous industries. Across multiple companies and industries, there was never a dull moment, she said.

Now Harrington Group’s new Controller, Kirsten is eager to bring her skills and eye for detail to a new-to-her industry. She joined the team in May and jumped right in to begin learning the company’s accounting and financials processing system. As much as she enjoyed the variety of her previous jobs, she looks forward to narrowing her focus.

“It’ll be nice focusing on one industry instead of wearing six or seven different hats,” Kirsten said. “It’s just a nice change. To be able to slow down and give all my attention to one thing at a time is absolutely freeing.”

A proud mother of four and grandmother of two, she spends as much time with her family as possible. Kirsten and her husband have owned a trucking company since 1999, and any time she spends on the Peterbilt truck is “just heaven.” They also love to take their boat out on Lake Lanier and to work in the garden, tending to the flowers and vegetables in their Lawrenceville, Georgia yard with the same care as when they lived on a farm in rural Minnesota.
