Harrington Group, Inc. is seeking an IT Administrator to join our team in our Duluth, Georgia office.

SUMMARY

The IT Administrator at HGI is responsible for administering all information technology resources in the firm. This is a key role in ensuring the technological backbone of the company is properly maintained, current, and appropriate to ensure systems operate smoothly, efficiently, and securely in support of the company’s goals and user needs. The IT Administrator researches and promotes the use of technology throughout the business to increase the efficiency of production, ensure the quality and timeliness of engineering deliverables, and improve the measurement and tracking of company performance indicators. The IT Administrator continually explores new/ emerging technologies and considers how these may be utilized in the firm.

  • Proactively manage the deployment of the company’s IT assets, including computers, mobile devices, software, and other equipment
    • Track equipment use and condition, and coordinate replacements (as needed) to reduce the downtime for production employees; this includes laptop PCs, tablets (iPads), mobile phones (iPhones), printers, docking stations, monitors, and other peripherals
    • Coordinate and manage the deployment and upgrades of software packages used by production staff (e.g., MS Office, Dropbox, Bluebeam Revu, AutoDesk, etc.)
    • Serve as administrator for various company resources including: MS Office, Dropbox, Apple Business Manager, Verizon Mobile Device Management
  • Closely coordinate with the company’s IT support vendor in their service to the company:
    • Facilitate the prompt resolution of help-desk support tickets
    • Schedule and coordinate computer upgrades and deployment
    • Ensure server and computer maintenance is completed per applicable cybersecurity policies and best practices
    • Ensure network management and monitoring, backups, and related services are accomplished per policies and best practices
  • Manage IT-related projects and coordinate with others, as needed, to ensure the successful implementation of project objectives and deliverables
  • Establish and maintain cybersecurity policy compliance (SOC-2, CMMC), including preparation for and successful completion of periodic certification audits
  • Develop and maintain IT policies and procedures, including policies related to AI integration
  • Develop expertise in the company’s ERP system (Unanet AE) to provide technical assistance in the integration and use of the system’s features, and the development of customized queries, reports, dashboards/ analytic dashboards
  • Provide administrative support and perform minor updates to the company’s internet and intranet sites
  • Manage the company’s domain registrations
  • Assist with the onboarding of new employees
  • Identify, suggest, and implement improvements in the company’s use of technology

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education/ Experience:

  • Relevant degree or certifications in IT administration
  • Three to five (3 to 5) years’ experience, preferably with an architectural or engineering firm
  • Good knowledge of Windows 10/11, iOS, and iPadOS operating systems

Certificates/ Licenses/ Registrations:

  • Valid U.S. driver’s license
  • U.S. Citizen or valid work visa

Special Position Requirements:

  • Most work can be completed in a regularly scheduled day; however, some work may need to be done outside of normal business hours to avoid disruptions to normal business activities
